Named in honor of retired Air Force Lt. Col. Joe Davies, the Joe Davies Heritage Airpark stands as a monument to the aerospace pioneers and defense contractors who helped build Plant 42 and the surrounding High Desert military flight test community.

The airpark features a collection of historic aircraft displayed outdoors, representing decades of flight testing, research, and military aviation advancements. Maintained through partnerships between the City of Palmdale, the U.S. Air Force, and local volunteers, the museum preserves the storied aerospace history that earned the region its reputation as the Aerospace Capital of America.

✈️ Things to Do & Activities

• Self-Guided Aircraft Tours: Walk right up to over 20 preserved military aircraft on static display, including the C-130 Hercules, B-52 Stratofortress, F-100 Super Sabre, and rare experimental prototypes.
• Guided Docent Tours: Join knowledgeable local docents—many of whom are veteran pilots or aerospace engineers—for in-depth stories behind each aircraft's development and service history.
• Aviation Photography: Capture wide-angle photos of iconic airframes set against the backdrop of the high-desert skyline and nearby active runways.
• AG-150 Trunkline Display: View specialized sub-assemblies and historic aerospace components showcasing the engineering ingenuity of Antelope Valley defense workers.
